En esta sesión bilingüe, we use WIDA to examine cohesion in español and English versions of Cisneros’ La Casa en Mango Street. We demonstrate how teachers can draw students’ attention to differing pronoun use in the two languages to improve literacy skills (reading and writing) through elevating their metalinguistic knowledge.
